LADINO SONG MUSIC ANTHOLOGY LITURGY JUDAICA ESPANOL JEW

SING THE WAY THE SEFARDIM SING! VIVA JUDEO ESPANOL!

In this long out of print volume put out by EDITORIAL INSTITUTO DES ESTUDIOS DEL CANTE JUDEO – ESPANOL EN HUMANAJE DE ISAAC LEVI, you will find 100s of songs in Judeo Spanish or Ladino.
Here you will find songs for all occasions including songs – poems for the Shabbat, Bakashot, Selichot, RoshHashana, Yom Kippur and all of the major and some not so major Jewish Holidays. Many of the songs are transliterated and musical notes how to sing some of these long lost songs are now provided. A virtual treasure house of ladino literature.
The author also did a very useful thing. He lists (click image below) exactly where each song originated. You will therefore see songs coming from Amsterdam, Tanger, Salonica, Morocco, Constantinople, Cairo and more! This refernce work is indispensible to any Ladino maven as well as anyone interested in Jewish song amongst the Sefardim.

Contains 358 LARGE SIZED PAGES measuring 8 ¼ x 10 ¾ inches. Newly rebound with leather like (naugahyde?) dark blue cover.
